Some mayhaw products listed are seasonal (mayhaws, juice, etc) and may not be available except during the spring harvesting season. The mayhaw is characteristically red to deep red in color when fully ripe. They are approximately 3/4" in diameter and can be used for making several different products. Once the mayhaw become reddish to deep red in color, they are ready to harvest and bprocessed into juice. This rich red juice is used for making jelly, syrup, butter, various food dishes and wine. If you cannot use the juice immediately it can be frozen for later use. Juice can be shipped in the frozen state as well

This delicious mayhaw jelly is labeled as the best jelly made and is in high demand, especially in the Southern States. You can experience the goodness of it on biscuits or toast, as well as an additive or a condiment with other foods and meats.
Mayhaw grafted trees are usually sold when they are at least 48" or greater in height and have a well-formed graft. Each tree is properly identified by cultivar and usually in a 2 to 3 gallon pot. Grafted trees are best suited for planting in the dormant season of December through March.

Used for grafting mayhaw trees, the scion wood is harvested during the dormant season, which is late December to January, in the South. The scion is identified by cultivar and each stick should have three dormant bud sites. To ensure successful grafting, each scion stick must be properly sealed and stored until use.
